Academic background

Bachelor’s degree in Physics by University of Campinas (1986), Master’s degree in Physics by University of Campinas (1991) and Doctor’s degree in Physics by University of Sao Paulo (1999). In 2011-2012 attended a post-doctoral internship at Max-Planck-Institut für Eisenforschung (MPIE) in Düsseldorf, Germany. Since 2006 is assistant professor of the Department of Materials Engineering of the Lorena School of Engineering of University of Sao Paulo (EEL-USP). Worked in the research area of superconductivity, mainly on Cu-Nb metal composites and Nb3Sn based multifilamentary wires. Currently works on the relationship of microstructure and magnetic properties of stainless, duplex, and Mn-based steels.
